Roberto Rafo – Spiritual Life Lessons Interview

Q: First of all tell us about You?

My name is Roberto Rafo and I am nineteen years old. I was raised in a Roman Catholic household, and my father played a large role in my life. I am the oldest in my family, which means I have to set an example for my younger siblings to follow.

My father, Walid Rafo, introduced Catholicism to me originally. He started off his journey with a personal encounter with God, and he has been attached to him ever since that apparition. I always look up to my father as I always find goodness and positivity in the final result

Growing up, I had my obstacles in regards to my spiritual path. However, I seeked the truth and didn’t simply dismiss it. This is why I studied Theology and Apologetics at Saint Paul University where I earned my Master’s degree. I also earned many different certificates from Harvard University, Notre Dame University, and Divinity School.

I started receiving spiritual dreams from the supernatural. I actually received hundreds of messages in total. One of the latest messages was to share these messages with the world. Hence, why I created the website Spiritual Life Lessons. Since I started, I’ve had over 300k readers in my first month! That is certainly something I call a blessing.

Q:In what areas of your life is it easiest to demonstrate self-control? In what areas is it most difficult? (In person)

I used to have great difficulty with self control growing up. I was a very angry child, and you wouldn’t believe that statement if you saw me today. My father taught me how to control myself. You have to let the Holy Spirit take over!

Growing up, I had a very difficult time controlling my emotions. In other words, if you said or did something small, I would triple the seriousness of the situation. It’s just the way I was. I would shout, fight with friends, argue and cause so much trouble. However, my father helped me to manage this, and that is why having a mentor in your life is very important.

The easiest area in my life where I had the most self control is over sin. I had some real trouble in this area as a kid. I have allowed the Holy Spirit to strengthen me over time, and now I am aware of every step I take.

I admit my faults to all just as I admit my strengths. I want everyone to understand that just because you sin, you’re not unwanted. You’re not ignored. You’re not dismissed.

God loves you regardless, but that’s not an excuse to continue sinning. Remember, he also is a God of justice.

Q: What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?

It is very understandable to get nervous when you begin your journey with God. You have to watch yourself and the sins you commit. You have to watch what you think, say and do. You shouldn’t be afraid of making mistakes. You should be afraid of not giving it a try.

I always tell people. If you sincerely confess, repent, and truly try to live a Christ like
life…what is there to be afraid of? An example I often give is this; are you upset because your child tried to clean the house but didn’t do the best job, or are you upset because your child ignores you and won’t clean the house?

A Son/Daughter who is lost and returns to their father is always nervous, however, once you get to know your father in heaven you will always feel at home with him.

My advice for you is to push yourself towards beginning a relationship with God. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. Be afraid of not giving it a try.

Q:When did you first realize you wanted to be a spiritual leader ?

I received revelation from Jesus in regards to this. I actually wanted to be a medical doctor. Right before I graduated highschool, I received a message from him. He said to me, “My child, I want you to work for me. I want you to preach for me. I will make you great, and all the people will know your name. You will change many lives and I will establish your greatness.”

I always saw myself following my fathers lead. Christ gave me the extra strength to become a leader on earth, for him who is in heaven. I always listened to my father and obeyed. He always taught me things that made me better. He taught me how to build
love where there is hate, how to build peace where there is war, how to restore when there is destruction.

I first realized it was time to become a spiritual leader after I received revelation. I accepted, and here I am today. This is only the beginning. Wait until you see the end.

Q: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?

I really enjoy this question, because I believe that this is a question everyone should be asking themselves.

The advice I live by was given to me by my father since I was little. He said to me, “You are the remote control. When you see something bad, you change it. When you see something good, you keep it. In the same way, when you walk in the path of darkness, leave. When you walk in the steps of the Lord, remain there, because there he is.”

I encourage everyone around the world to think about this piece of advice and to also
live by it. Many people don’t think of it this way, but this is reality. God is responsible for the gift of freedom. We are responsible for our acts of freedom. Choose your every step wisely.

Q: What are you reading in Scripture currently? What are you learning? (In person)?

I’ve read the entire Holy Bible several times. It is truly an outstanding book! One of my favourite books in the Holy Bible is Proverbs. King Solomon, was known as the wise man during that time. The Lord told Solomon, “Ask anything and I will give it to you.” Solomon answered, “Give me wisdom.” The Lord noted that Solomon asked for something not materialistic. The Lord replied, “Because you did not ask for wealth or power, I will give you wisdom and these things in addition to your request.”

Solomon received wisdom, and it is said that no man will ever be as wise as Solomon. I read his proverbs daily, and keep it in my heart. In every situation in life, for good or for bad, you can always use a proverb.

I am learning to use the proverbs in real day cases, and to teach others to use them also. It can surely save you from plenty of trouble!

Q :What are your future goals ?

I have many future goals. Not my goals, but the Lord’s plan for my life. You see, I don’t seek to do on this earth what I want. Instead, I seek to do the will of the Lord. In one of my revelations, the Lord revealed my future and what I would do. I would call what he told me to do goals. What he wants me to do, I want to do.

My goal is to establish my wealth and use it for the glory of God. I want to take care and provide for my family who have been suffering financially for many years. My goal is to feed as many of the poor as I can. My family and I want to travel most especially to

Africa and India, entering the most poor areas. We want to see them full and satisfied. Just as the Lord will take care of me, I want to take care of them. I also intend to donate a large amount of money to a hospital, naming it the Divine Mercy Hospital.

These are all of my major goals.
