Q: First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
I was in a local group called the Def Duo. The DJ – Joe Stick – knew a guy named Jack who had a co-worker named Pete that was looking for a rap group to take to the studio. After we were introduced, the ball got rolling.
Q: What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?
Pray, and network with people in your field.
Q:When you decide it’s time to make a new record, is that more exciting or stressful?
It’s exciting because ideas have to come to me; I can’t just force it. So, when I get a new idea, I’m excited.
Q: How easily do songs tend to come to you?
The more I’m seeing and hearing things around me, the faster songs will come to me. There has to be something going on for me to write about.
Q: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Put God first, and everything else will fall into place.
Q: What is you favorite song to belt out at the bar/in the car right now?
Bone Thugs & Harmony – ‘Crossroads’.
Q :What are your future goals as a music artist?
New music in 2019, and performing.
Q: What was your most memorable performance to date?
At the Aloha Lounge in Queens, NY. There was good energy in the building.
