SKG Declares Kendrick Lamar the King in Rap Battle Against Drake

Westcoast rapper SKG recently took to Instagram to express her support for Kendrick Lamar in his ongoing rap battle with Drake. Posting a black and white image of Lamar, SKG crowned him as the King, stating, “Every Westcoast rapper should feel good today, quit playing with the west, Kendrick the goat.”

When reached for comment, SKG elaborated on Lamar’s prowess, noting his ability to mentally dismantle Drake bar by bar. Despite being a fan of Drake herself, SKG emphasized that Kendrick’s metaphors alone secured his victory in the world of Hip Hop. The feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has escalated with Lamar’s recent release of “Euphoria,” a diss track that has dominated Spotify and Apple Music charts. This feud, spanning over a decade, traces back to Lamar’s verse on Big Sean’s “Control,” where he called out Drake among other rappers.

Observers have long speculated about subtle jabs exchanged between the two in their music, with Lamar’s critique of artists who use ghostwriters in his song “King Kunta” being interpreted as a possible dig at Drake. The crux of the feud seems to revolve around the ongoing debate over who deserves the title of the greatest rapper of today.
