Brooke was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and since she was three years old, she knew she was destined to be a dancer. Brooke started out as a hip-hop street dancer until 2002 when she won a dance contest at the Universoul Circus. At the age of 11, she started at the Jeraldyne School of Dance, and at the age of 18, she later joined the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II while attending Wright State University. During her time with Dayton Contemporary Dance CompanyII, Brooke performed for jazz artist Kirk Whalum and singer Shirley Murdock. After leaving the company, Brooke showcased her talents through social media and from that point, she performed for artists McLyte, choreographer Shane Sparks and vogue dancer Leiomy Maldonado. From her performances, she received recognition and was featured in a spread on Indianapolis’ based Twenty-Four Seven Magazine. In 2014, Brooke received her BFA in Theatre from Wright State University.
Just a few days after graduation, MTV featured her work for Ariana Grande contest and again in February 2016 for pop group, DNCE’s, dance contest. This summer, Brooke was featured in Orange Is the New Black’s production, Orange Will Make You Free, for 2016’s Toronto’s Pride. Brooke was showcased in the film industry and was featured in the independent film, “A Slave Not like Us,” and Sony Pictures’ Michel’le Biopic on Lifetime. Brooke also has a love for fitness and is a certified Zumba instructor and teaches choreography for dance studios. Brooke continues to share her talent and striving to make her dream a reality.
