It takes the listener back to the golden age of the clubland crooner, the slick, tuxedo-clad, 50’s singers who used to entertain the cabaret and supper-club diners of the western world.
Catch the Wave is a potent blend of light and graceful jazz lines, soulful deliveries, and understated instrumentation to generate the coolest and calmest vibes for the audience’s delectation. Iconic references abound, from Sinatra to Martin to Mathis, and it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to say that Doug Ferony belongs in such a choice group of entertainers.
Ballad after sweet ballad ebb and flows one after the other in a wash of elegant and eloquent songs, songs that deserve the timeless label.
